 On Sunday mornings at 10:45, we are studying the book of Genesis together. As the beginning of the story of the Bible, Genesis lays the foundation and forms the framework for all that is to come. Consequently, understanding Genesis is essential for all who desire to know the Scriptures and the God of the Scriptures.
Genesis is not simply an ancient narrative about past events. Rather, "hearing" Genesis correctly involves the realization that events of the present are like events of the past and the God of present is the same as the God of the past. What he has done, he can and will do again.
The God who created the universe with his spoken word continues to speak through his written word. The word of God was powerful enough to bring the entire universe into being. Therefore, we must devote ourselves to its careful study that we may hear it well and be changed. Nothing else offers that kind of power for our lives. Please join us as we learn more about our Creator and Redeemer.
"For God, who said, 'Light shall shine out of darkness,' is the One who has shone in our hearts to give the Light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Christ" (2 Cor. 4:6).
